Pursuit of Hoppiness Charters Cancellation Policy


We want your experience with Pursuit of Hoppiness Charters to be as smooth as the seas we sail. To ensure clarity for all our guests, please review our cancellation and refund terms below.

1. Bookings Made More Than 72 Hours Before Departure

For charters booked well in advance, the following tiered policy applies:
  • The 24-Hour Grace Period: Enjoy free cancellation for 24 hours after your deposit is made.
  • Post-Grace Period: After the initial 24 hours, your deposit becomes non-refundable until the final balance is collected.
  • Balance Collection: The remaining balance will be automatically deducted at least 7 days prior to your departure date.
  • Refund Structure After Full Payment: * Once the remaining balance is charged, the deposit becomes refundable.The remaining balance itself is non-refundable.
  • The 7-Day Window: If your departure date is less than 7 days away, we do not offer refunds or cancellations. You may reschedule only.

2. Bookings Made Within 72 Hours of Departure

For last-minute adventures (bookings made less than 72 hours before departure):

  • Finality: Cancellations are non-refundable. No exceptions.
  • Deposits: Only the deposit portion is refundable in this window.
  • Full Payments: If you pay the full amount (Deposit + Balance) for a charter occurring within 72 hours (e.g., same-day or next-day bookings), all sales are final. No refunds or cancellations will be issued, and the entire balance is subject to forfeiture.

3. Weather and Mechanical Failures

Safety is our top priority. Our policy regarding Mother Nature or technical issues is as follows:
  • Authority: Only a USCG Licensed Captain or Pursuit of Hoppiness Charters management may cancel a trip due to weather conditions.
  • Timing: Weather decisions are made on the day of departure only.
  • Forecasts: General weather forecasts are not accepted as a valid reason for a guest-initiated cancellation.
  • Resolution: * For standard bookings, weather/mechanical issues may result in a refund.For bookings made within the 72-hour window, weather/mechanical issues will result in a reschedule only.
